What You'll Do

As the lead designer, you will translate client visions into functional, sustainable architecture and oversee every phase of delivery.

  • Interpret client briefs and project requirements to generate conceptual sketches, detailed design packages and 3‑D visualisations.
  • Produce construction‑ready drawings, plans and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD and other industry‑standard tools.
  • Lead client workshops and presentations to communicate design intent, gather feedback and secure approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors and specialist consultants to validate design feasibility and coordinate interdisciplinary inputs.
  • Ensure all design outputs comply with Kenyan building codes, zoning regulations and any relevant statutory requirements.
  • Monitor construction sites, conduct regular inspections and resolve technical challenges to keep projects on schedule and within quality standards.
  • Review and sign off shop drawings, material submittals and contractor proposals, guaranteeing alignment with the approved design.
  • Integrate sustainable practices, cost‑effective strategies and innovative material selections into every project.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, design presentations and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, balancing deadlines, resource allocation and client expectations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging architectural trends, new construction technologies and material advancements to continuously elevate design quality.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines creative flair with rigorous technical expertise and proven project leadership.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ hands‑on experience delivering architecture and interior design projects, preferably within design‑build environments.
  • Professional registration or architectural licensure is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of Kenyan building codes, design standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD and 3‑D rendering software, complemented by strong MS Office and project‑management tool skills.
  • Exceptional visualisation and technical drawing abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage project timelines, budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and client‑presentation skills, able to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Resilience under pressure, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
