What You'll Do

In this capacity you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing environmental protection measures for client facilities.

  • Develop and engineer systems, processes, and equipment aimed at reducing air, water, and soil contamination.
  • Secure, renew, and manage all necessary environmental permits while ensuring continuous compliance with Kenyan and international regulations.
  • Conduct on‑site environmental impact assessments, technical audits, and waste‑management evaluations to identify pollution sources and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect, model, and interpret environmental data, then produce clear technical reports for stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Plan and supervise remediation projects that safely clean contaminated locations or mitigate hazardous conditions.
  • Perform quality‑control inspections throughout equipment installation and carry out final acceptance testing.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with effective communication skills.

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Two to three years of hands‑on experience in environmental management, pollution control, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in computer‑based modelling tools and a solid grounding in biology and chemistry concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports and present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with EPA guidelines, ISO 14001 standards, or comparable local environmental regulations; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.

The position includes a monthly salary of KSh 300,000‑400,000, paid overtime at the base rate, and a comprehensive benefits package that covers housing, transportation, meals, and laundry facilities while on assignment. Employees accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave each month, receive up to 21 days of paid annual leave, and are entitled to ten paid public holidays. The employer also funds travel back to the employee’s home country at the end of the contract.
