What You'll Do

In this position you will lead the on‑site quality assurance programme from start to finish, ensuring every activity complies with corporate, client and governmental requirements.

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve the project‑specific Quality Control Plan, adapting it as the construction phases evolve.
  • Direct daily inspections and supervise the team of QC specialists, laboratory staff and any additional testing personnel required by the contract.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in partner meetings, QC plan reviews, coordination sessions and mutual‑understanding workshops.
  • Review, approve and track all submittals, guaranteeing that testing is performed and that certifications and documentation meet contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and verify phase‑checklists with production crews before each construction stage to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Maintain all project documentation required by the contract manager, including government‑mandated QC programs such as QCS and WebCM.
  • Manage a comprehensive submittal register and serve as the primary liaison for contractor‑related quality responsibilities.
  • Submit and monitor daily reports, RFIs and contract modifications, ensuring timely communication with government inspectors and project stakeholders.
  • Document non‑conforming work, initiate corrective actions, and verify that all issues are resolved to the required standards.
  • Oversee the production and upkeep of as‑built drawings and guarantee that inspection and reporting schedules are strictly followed.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, communicating clearly with customers, co‑workers and management.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with proven leadership in construction quality management.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or a closely related field.
  • At least eight years of hands‑on experience as a Quality Control Manager on projects of comparable size and complexity.
  • Successful completion of a recognized “Construction Quality Management” training program for contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, spot minute discrepancies and apply rigorous judgment to quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills, logical reasoning and the capacity to perform accurate arithmetic quickly.
  • Physical aptitude to work safely on scaffolds, ladders and confined spaces, and to lift objects up to 50 lb.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building productive relationships with government inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

Employees receive 2.67 hours of sick leave each month, up to 21 days of paid annual leave after a 12‑month contract, and ten paid project holidays. Overtime is compensated at the base salary rate, and the employer covers travel costs back to the employee’s home country.
