Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to grow sales and effectively manage the distribution of telecommunications products and services, including airtime, SIM cards, mobile financial services, and devices.

The Zonal Sales Manager will identify market opportunities, strengthen distribution channels, and implement sales strategies that maximize revenue and customer growth within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Revenue Growth

  • Achieve territory sales and revenue targets.

  • Increase sales of mobile services, airtime, devices, and mobile financial services.

  • Identify opportunities to expand market share and improve business performance.

Customer Acquisition

  • Execute customer acquisition campaigns to grow the subscriber base.

  • Develop strategies that attract and retain customers within the territory.

  • Support initiatives that increase customer engagement and loyalty.

Channel Development

  • Drive channel-specific initiatives aligned with company objectives.

  • Support the performance of agencies, sales outlets, and distribution partners.

  • Improve channel efficiency and sales productivity.

Site Profitability Management

  • Implement programs designed to improve site profitability.

  • Monitor business performance across operational locations.

  • Identify and address challenges affecting revenue generation.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support field sales teams and partner representatives.

  • Ensure team members meet business objectives and operational standards.

Customer Experience Management

  • Maintain high standards of customer service across all sales channels.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or

  • An equivalent Higher National Diploma (HND).

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in sales and distribution.

  • Previous experience within the telecommunications or FMCG sector.

  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distribution channels.
