What You'll Do
In this role you will act as the on‑site decision‑maker, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly and guests leave delighted.
- Supervise all hotel departments each day to guarantee efficient, high‑quality service delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guest complaints, special requests and emergencies, delivering prompt and effective resolutions.
- Continuously monitor guest satisfaction metrics and proactively close any service gaps.
- Carry out routine inspections of public areas and back‑of‑house spaces to confirm cleanliness, safety and adherence to brand standards.
- Assist the Front Office with check‑ins, check‑outs, VIP arrivals and any bespoke guest requirements.
- Enforce hotel policies, health‑safety protocols and security procedures throughout the property.
- Make swift, informed decisions when operational challenges arise to maintain seamless service continuity.
- Analyse daily performance reports—including occupancy, revenue, guest feedback and incident logs—to guide operational improvements.
- Support staff scheduling, shift handovers and performance monitoring across all functional areas.
- Mentor and train team members to raise service standards and operational efficiency.
- Document and follow up on all guest complaints and incidents to ensure complete resolution.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork and guest‑centric service among all employees.
- Undertake any additional duties delegated by senior management.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate combines solid hospitality experience with strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
- A degree or diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Three to five years of hands‑on hotel operations experience, including at least one to two years in a supervisory or Duty Manager capacity.
- Proficiency with Property Management Systems and familiarity with standard hotel reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to make decisive choices under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication talents, enabling effective guest relations and conflict resolution.
- High integrity, reliability and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capabilities for troubleshooting operational issues.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering service excellence.
