Tugende, a for‑profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering motorcycle taxi drivers, is seeking a diligent Field Technician to join its expanding operations across several Kenyan hubs. This full‑time, on‑site role will be based in locations such as Busia, Eldoret, Kisumu, Machakos, Meru, Mombasa, Nakuru and Thika, supporting the company's mission to provide reliable, owned assets to riders.

What You'll Do
In this position you will oversee the end‑to‑end readiness, tracking and maintenance of Tugende’s motorcycle assets.
- Inspect every incoming motorcycle and accessory, confirm mechanical soundness, sign delivery documentation and flag any damage to the Branch Executive, Procurement Officer and General Manager.
- Enter newly received assets into the ERP system promptly, ensuring accurate branding, secure storage and systematic arrangement for swift disbursement.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of all assets ready for release in both the CRM and ERP platforms, guaranteeing visibility on the Tugende dashboard.
- Coordinate the picking, packing and dispatch of motorcycles and accessories on scheduled disbursement dates.
- Log returned second‑hand bikes, update the branch inventory register with detailed specifications (brand, colour, value) and keep the physical stock tidy and organized.
- Reconcile physical inventory with ERP data regularly, ensuring perfect alignment and preventing discrepancies.
- Remove GPS trackers from retired assets, manage the pool of available trackers, and advise procurement on restocking needs based on current inventory.
- Generate, sign and archive delivery notes, picking lists and spare‑part records in both hard‑copy and digital formats.
- Achieve monthly sales targets set for the branch by ensuring assets are active, traceable and well‑maintained on the dashboard.
- Document inspections, repairs and servicing activities in the CRM database, keeping a continuous tracker of client and staff assets.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate combines hands‑on mechanical know‑how with strong organisational skills.
- At least one year of practical experience as a mechanic or electrician, preferably within a reputable organisation.
- A diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering or Motor Vehicle Mechanics from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated familiarity with motorcycle and car assembly, repair procedures and safety protocols.
- Valid motorbike riding licence is mandatory.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams, manuals and using mobile applications for inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle flexible shift patterns and adapt to changing schedules with minimal supervision.
