What You'll Do

As the primary steward of stock accuracy, you will support the Operations Manager by maintaining precise records of every pallet that moves through the warehouse.

  • Enter inbound and outbound transactions into the SAP‑based Warehouse Management System and verify that system balances reflect physical movements.
  • Conduct daily spot‑checks and cycle counts, then reconcile those figures with the WMS data to spot discrepancies early.
  • Organise goods on the floor, ensuring that items are stored in the correct bins and that the layout supports efficient picking.
  • Prepare and sign off monthly inventory tallies, documenting any variances and providing clear reports to stakeholders.
  • Flag irregularities such as misplaced stock or unexpected losses, circulate weekly ageing summaries, and work with the Operations Manager to investigate root causes.
  • Maintain immaculate documentation of all count sheets and audit trails for future reference.
  • Uphold safety standards at every workstation, striving for zero lost‑time accidents and immediate escalation of any hazards.
  • Handle assigned equipment—including desktop computers and laptops—responsibly and ensure they remain in good working order.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate blends formal education with hands‑on experience in inventory control within a logistics or FMCG environment.

  • A university degree or diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing.
  • At least four years of proven experience managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and using warehouse management software.
  • Strong organisational abilities and a methodical approach to planning daily activities.
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to diagnose stock discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
  • Commercial awareness that helps balance cost efficiency with service quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to internal teams and senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
