What You'll Do

Working under the guidance of the Procurement Officer, you will assist in a variety of procurement activities that ensure compliance and efficiency.

  • Assist in drafting and preparing tender documentation for upcoming purchases.
  • Process internal requisition forms and support end‑users in obtaining needed goods and services.
  • Participate in tender opening, evaluation, disposal, inspection, and acceptance committees to gain practical insight.
  • Help register new suppliers and manage pre‑qualification procedures.
  • Contribute to the drafting, review, and implementation of procurement contracts.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and support stock‑taking exercises.
  • Assist in the disposal of outdated or surplus assets in accordance with policy.
  • Prepare statutory procurement reports required by regulatory bodies.
  • Support supplier performance appraisal and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to enhance learning.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or final‑year student with a strong interest in procurement and supply‑chain management.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Enrollment in a professional procurement qualification such as CPSP or CIPS is advantageous.
  • Previous exposure to a procurement department through an internship or industrial attachment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Solid numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
