What You'll Do
As a Teacher of Economics, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of future leaders and economists. Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching Economics to students at various levels, including IGCSE and A-Level, using a range of pedagogical approaches to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the British National Curriculum, incorporating real-world examples and case studies to illustrate key economic concepts.
Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement to ensure students meet their full potential.
Contributing to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to teaching and learning.
Mentoring and supporting students in their academic and personal development, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of academic credentials, teaching experience, and personal qualities. We are looking for:
A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field, with a strong foundation in Economics.
Valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration, demonstrating your commitment to the teaching profession and your eligibility to teach in Kenya.
At least 5 years of teaching experience in Economics, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes.
Experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Economics, with a deep understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment, with the ability to design and implement effective lesson plans and assessments.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
