Position Summary

The Unit Administrator will be responsible for managing patient administration, supporting financial and payroll processes, coordinating unit records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Administration

  • Manage patient registration and administrative records.

  • Ensure patient information is accurately captured and maintained.

  • Process admissions, confirmations, and related documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed according to company procedures and deadlines.

Financial Administration

  • Support daily billing and payment processes.

  • Assist with patient account administration and confirmations.

  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and operational controls.

  • Help monitor stock-related administration and reporting.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Human Resources and Payroll Support

  • Assist with daily HR and payroll-related administrative processes.

  • Maintain employee records and supporting documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate administrative requirements related to staff management.

  • Support communication between management and employees.

General Unit Administration

  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day administrative activities.

  • Support operational efficiency within the healthcare unit.

Customer Service and Stakeholder Communication

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

  • Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative or similar role.

  • Previous experience within a healthcare environment will be advantageous.

  • Experience handling financial, patient, or office administration is beneficial.
