Position Summary
The APC Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, commissioning, and optimizing Advanced Process Control systems and performance monitoring solutions for industrial operations.
This role combines process engineering, automation, data analysis, customer engagement, and project execution to help improve operational efficiency, productivity, and process stability across customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Process Control (APC) Implementation
Implement and maintain APC systems and advanced sensing technologies.
Configure, test, install, and commission process control solutions.
Deploy data-driven monitoring systems to improve operational performance.
Support project delivery through successful system implementation and acceptance.
Optimize process performance through continuous analysis and system improvements.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor process control systems remotely using secure access tools.
Analyze operational data and identify performance improvement opportunities.
Tune and optimize APC systems to maximize plant efficiency.
Develop performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Deliver actionable insights based on operational and process data.
Project Execution and Customer Support
Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers.
Build strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and system records.
Conduct user training sessions on APC and monitoring technologies.
Support customers throughout project implementation and optimization phases.
Collaboration and Global Team Engagement

Educational Qualifications
Candidates should possess one of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Qualification
Matric (Grade 12)
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an APC Engineer or in a similar technical role.
