About the Role

The Bilingual Patient Care Specialist serves as a key connection between patients and healthcare providers. This position combines customer service excellence with healthcare administration responsibilities, ensuring patients receive timely support, accurate scheduling, and professional assistance throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication and Support

  • Provide professional, friendly, and empathetic support to patients.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries and requests.

  • Deliver clear and effective communication through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.

Healthcare Compliance

  • Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines in all patient interactions.

  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain secure handling of sensitive information.

  • Support compliance standards across healthcare administration processes.

Medical Scheduling and Coordination

  • Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination.

  • Identify available appointment slots and scheduling restrictions.

  • Optimize schedules to improve efficiency and patient access to care.

  • Coordinate appointment adjustments and scheduling updates when necessary.

Patient Records Management

  • Maintain accurate patient information in healthcare systems and internal platforms.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record accuracy.

  • Support data quality and administrative efficiency.

Patient Issue Resolution

  • Address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.

  • Apply conflict-resolution techniques to de-escalate challenging situations.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical appointment scheduling and coordination.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.

  • Experience managing patient records and healthcare documentation.

  • Proficiency in healthcare software, CRM platforms, and scheduling tools.

Language Requirement

Advanced English Proficiency

Work Schedule

  • Part-time position

  • 26 hours per week

  • Shifts assigned within the 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM Kenya time window

  • Flexible scheduling within the designated operating hours
