Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of clinical, administrative, and community healthcare functions, including:

Clinical Care

  • Deliver professional nursing services to patients.

  • Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment plans.

  • Monitor patient progress and ensure continuity of care.

  • Support disease prevention and health management initiatives.

Project Planning and Implementation

  • Participate in healthcare project planning and execution.

  • Assist in coordinating healthcare activities within assigned communities.

Basic Care and Rehabilitation

  • Provide essential nursing care and rehabilitation support.

  • Assist patients in maintaining and improving their health status.

  • Support community wellness programs and preventive healthcare initiatives.

  • Promote awareness of healthcare services and disease prevention.

Treatment Adherence Support

  • Encourage patients to follow prescribed treatment plans.

  • Provide guidance on medication adherence and healthcare appointments.

  • Monitor and support patient compliance with medical recommendations.

Human Development

  • Participate in staff development and continuous learning initiatives.

  • Support knowledge sharing and professional growth within healthcare teams.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure healthcare services meet established quality standards.

  • Follow clinical protocols and healthcare regulations.

  • Participate in quality improvement activities.

Recordkeeping and Data Collection

  • Maintain accurate patient records and healthcare documentation.

  • Collect and report relevant healthcare data.

  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare policies.

Administrative Duties

  • Complete required reports and documentation.

  • Assist with day-to-day operational and administrative activities.

  • Support efficient healthcare service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this Professional Nurse position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Diploma in General Nursing

  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Willingness to use personal transport for work-related duties

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience
