Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to strengthen retail channel performance through regular field visits, agent recruitment, product visibility initiatives, and sales support activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales outlets, mobile money agents, and retail partners to improve service delivery, increase product availability, and support customer acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Recruitment and Market Mapping

  • Identify and recruit suitable sales agents and retail partners.

  • Expand the network of mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail locations.

  • Conduct market mapping exercises to identify growth opportunities.

Retail Visits and Route Management

  • Visit sales outlets and agents according to approved route plans.

  • Maintain regular engagement with partners to improve performance.

  • Monitor service quality and operational effectiveness.

Training and Business Support

  • Provide agents and retail outlets with the necessary operational tools.

  • Conduct training sessions on products, services, and transaction processes.

  • Support partners in improving customer service and operational efficiency.

Compliance and Process Training

  • Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.

  • Educate sales outlets on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures related to customer registration processes.

Stock and Float Management

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.

  • Support partners in maintaining adequate inventory levels.

  • Ensure sales outlets have sufficient resources to support customer registrations and activations.

Merchandising and Brand Visibility

  • Implement merchandising standards across retail locations.

  • Distribute promotional and branding materials to partner outlets.

  • Improve product visibility and customer awareness at points of sale.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Applicants should possess one of the following:

  • Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • At least one year of experience in sales, distribution, or field marketing.

  • Experience within telecommunications, FMCG, or related industries is highly desirable.

  • A proven ability to engage retail partners and drive sales performance.
