What You'll Do

In this role you will be the catalyst that turns Jubilee’s technology roadmap into a reliable, automated reality.

  • Translate the group’s DevOps vision into concrete initiatives that align with the overall digital transformation agenda and business goals.
  • Champion the adoption of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices across software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Design, build, and continuously refine CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, safe releases of insurance applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain IaC scripts using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to provision secure, scalable cloud environments.
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, focusing on performance, cost‑efficiency, and high availability.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions that give real‑time insight into platform health and support proactive incident resolution.
  • Integrate DevSecOps controls into every stage of the delivery pipeline, automating security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, security specialists, and quality assurance engineers to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments across all environments.
  • Lead disaster‑recovery, backup, and business‑continuity testing to guarantee resilience of critical insurance systems.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, run‑books, and operational standards that support knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
  • Track key performance indicators such as deployment frequency, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery, and use the data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach development and operations teams on modern DevOps practices, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and innovation.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership experience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, complemented by professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
  • At least five years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud operations, preferably within a regulated financial or insurance environment.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, and a track record of building end‑to‑end pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with IaC frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ability to optimise resources for cost, performance, and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to embed security testing and compliance checks into automated workflows (DevSecOps).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting metrics and turning insights into actionable improvements.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire cross‑functional collaboration, continuous learning, and a proactive problem‑solving culture.
