The role will focus on building, customizing, and maintaining ERPNext solutions that streamline the farm’s production, processing, and sales workflows. What You'll Do
In this role you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of ERPNext development and integration, ensuring the system meets the evolving needs of Victory Farms.
- Design, code, and tailor ERPNext modules, forms, and workflows using Python and JavaScript to reflect specific business requirements.
- Build and maintain custom ERPNext applications and extensions on the Frappe framework, adhering to best‑practice coding standards.
- Collaborate with operational managers and other stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical specifications and actionable development tasks.
- Create, modify, and enhance ERPNext reports, dashboards, and visualisations to provide clear insight into production, inventory, and financial data.
- Integrate ERPNext with external databases, APIs, and IoT sensor platforms to enable seamless data exchange across the farm’s technology stack.
- Plan and execute data migration activities when moving legacy information into ERPNext, ensuring data integrity throughout the process.
- Configure system settings, manage user roles, and enforce permission structures to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
- Monitor system performance, apply patches, perform upgrades, and resolve bugs or incidents promptly to minimise downtime.
- Provide first‑line technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting issues and delivering timely resolutions.
- Document technical designs, configuration steps, and customisation details, and produce user guides and training materials for staff.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to help employees adopt ERPNext features and follow best practices.
- Stay current with ERPNext releases, emerging automation tools, and IoT advancements, recommending improvements that boost efficiency and user experience.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality‑assurance activities to guarantee reliable and secure system deployments.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate combines strong development expertise with an ability to understand and optimise business processes.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing and customizing ERPNext solutions, including module creation and workflow design.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and the Frappe framework, with a solid grasp of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Hands‑on experience integrating ERPNext with other systems, databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), and external APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and the ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a track record of delivering high‑quality code under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to juggle multiple development tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Exposure to IoT devices, sensor data, or automation platforms is a distinct advantage.
