Job Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading regional sales activities, driving revenue growth, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple branch units. The role focuses on executing strategic business plans, developing high-performing teams, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting sustainable portfolio growth.

This position also plays an important role in implementing business initiatives, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Growth

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Drive business growth through effective sales planning and execution.

  • Identify new market opportunities and expansion initiatives.

  • Support regional business development and customer acquisition efforts.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team leaders and sales representatives.

  • Build and maintain a high-performance sales culture.

  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance to improve results.

  • Motivate employees to achieve individual and team targets.

Portfolio Management

  • Grow and maintain a healthy customer portfolio across the region.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and support risk management initiatives.

  • Ensure sales teams consistently meet established targets and performance expectations.

  • Support customer retention and relationship management strategies.

Marketing and Business Activation

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

  • Support sales activation programs aimed at increasing market penetration.

  • Collaborate with teams to strengthen brand visibility and customer engagement.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Promote customer loyalty through exceptional service and engagement.

  • Build partnerships that contribute to long-term business growth.

Technology and Process Improvement

  • Support implementation of technology-driven initiatives that improve operational efficiency.

  • Promote digital solutions that enhance customer experience and business performance.

  • Contribute to process improvement projects within the region.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

  • Support responsible lending practices and operational risk management.

  • Promote ethical business conduct across all sales activities.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Business Administration

    • Finance

    • Sales and Marketing

    • Economics

    • Related business disciplines

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Proven experience in Sales and Marketing.

  • At least 4 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

The following will be considered an added advantage:

  • Experience within the payroll lending sector.

  • Experience in financial services, microfinance, banking, or lending institutions.
