What You'll Do
In this capacity you will act as the primary point of contact for resort guests and ensure every aspect of their stay meets the highest standards.
- Conduct warm and informative welcome briefings for arriving visitors, outlining resort amenities and local attractions.
- Serve as the central hub for guest inquiries, requests, and any complaints, providing timely and courteous resolutions.
- Market, sell, and arrange excursions, recreational activities, and tours, coordinating with external partners to enhance the guest itinerary.
- Offer knowledgeable advice and hands‑on assistance throughout the guest’s stay, troubleshooting issues and ensuring satisfaction.
- Keep guest information boards and travel documents current and accurately displayed.
- Compile and forward incident logs and complaint reports to management in accordance with company procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with nearby hotels, excursion operators, and service providers to guarantee smooth service delivery.
- Remain up‑to‑date on resort facilities, surrounding points of interest, and emerging market trends to inform guests and staff.
- Provide regular updates to the Resident Manager regarding guest feedback, emerging issues, and service improvement opportunities.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will combine solid hospitality experience with multilingual communication skills and a proactive, service‑driven attitude.
- Holds a diploma or bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality management, customer service, or a related discipline.
- Possesses at least five years of experience in the tourism or hospitality field, including a minimum of two years performing duties similar to a resort representative.
- Demonstrates fluency in English together with either German and Italian, or French and German, enabling effective communication with a diverse clientele.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal abilities and a polished customer‑service approach, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Shows proven problem‑solving capabilities and effective time‑management techniques to handle multiple guest requests simultaneously.
- Has thorough knowledge of Mombasa’s transportation routes, hotels, and key attractions.
- Presents a well‑groomed, confident, and outgoing demeanor appropriate for a front‑line hospitality role.
- Is willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts as required by resort operations.
