What You'll Do

In this role you will be responsible for driving the performance of the Shari’ah‑compliant book and nurturing strong client relationships.

  • Lead and manage relationships with both corporate and retail customers, ensuring their needs are met and loyalty is built.
  • Promote and sell Shari’ah‑compliant products, while also cross‑selling additional banking solutions to achieve defined sales targets.
  • Coordinate with relationship managers and the wider branch network to identify growth opportunities and expand the bank's footprint.
  • Implement risk‑mitigation measures to prevent fraud, revenue leakage, and other losses.
  • Provide training and development support to branch staff, enhancing their capability to serve Shari’ah clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and administrative processes for all Shari’ah‑compliant portfolios.
  • Monitor and manage the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) to stay within the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Take ownership of the SAHL book, driving its growth and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
  • Strengthen existing SAHL customer relationships to increase both liability and asset balances.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly, continuously improving service standards and staff performance.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will combine solid banking experience with a deep understanding of Islamic finance.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a professional certificate or Islamic Banking certification is a strong plus.
  • At least three years of overall work experience, with a minimum of two years in banking operations.
  • Demonstrated experience of two years working with Shari’ah‑compliant banking products.
  • Two years of credit‑related experience, showing ability to assess and manage loan risk.
  • Proven sales and relationship‑management track record of at least two years, preferably within a banking environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of training and motivating branch staff.
  • Ability to analyze risk, manage PAR, and implement fraud‑prevention controls.
