About the Role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling vehicle parts and accessories while ensuring excellent customer service.

The role focuses on increasing market share, achieving sales targets, supporting customer retention initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Sales and Business Growth

  • Promote and sell automotive parts and accessories to customers.

  • Achieve assigned parts sales targets and departmental objectives.

  • Support marketing initiatives designed to increase parts sales.

  • Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Contribute to the growth of market share and customer acquisition efforts.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support.

  • Ensure customer needs are addressed professionally and promptly.

  • Introduce customers to new products, promotions, and company policies.

  • Encourage customer loyalty through consistent engagement and service excellence.

Customer Support and Query Resolution

Documentation and Administrative Duties

  • Process and record returned parts accurately.

Internal Communication and Collaboration

  • Maintain regular communication with the Parts Manager.

  • Work closely with other dealership departments to improve service delivery.

  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team activities when required.

Asset and Inventory Management

  • Ensure company assets under your responsibility are properly maintained.

  • Follow company procedures regarding parts exchanges and reconditioned items.

  • Support inventory control and stock management processes.

  • Promote responsible handling and storage of automotive parts.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.

  • Clear credit record.

  • Basic computer literacy and administrative skills.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • Proven experience in Parts Counter Sales.

  • Experience selling automotive parts and accessories.

  • Strong customer-facing sales experience.

  • Knowledge of dealership operations and automotive products.

Advantageous Experience
