Senior Pharmaceutical Technologist – Oncology

The Kwale County Public Service Board is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Technologist with a focus on oncology to join its County Health Department in Kwale, Kenya. What You'll Do

In this capacity you will be responsible for a range of pharmacy operations that support the oncology unit.

• Accurately dispense chemotherapy and other oncology medications in accordance with prescribing guidelines.
• Provide one‑on‑one counseling to patients and their families, explaining dosage, administration routes, and potential side effects of cancer drugs.
• Maintain a daily drug register that records all stock movements, ensuring each entry is verified and countersigned by the supervising pharmacist.
• Collaborate with the County Health Department to perform any additional pharmacy‑related duties as required.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and credentials.

• A Diploma in Pharmacy awarded by a recognized and accredited institution.
• A Higher National Diploma specializing in Oncology Pharmacy from a reputable school.
• A current registration certificate and a valid practicing license issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
• Strong attention to detail, good record‑keeping habits, and the ability to work within regulatory frameworks.
