What You'll Do

  • Managing all accounting transactions, including preparing budget forecasts, handling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Developing and implementing cash flow plans, reconciling petty cash accounts, and ensuring timely bank payment transactions.
  • Preparing and managing balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial reports, as well as publishing financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Reporting on the company's financial health and liquidity status, ensuring audit readiness, and documenting all financial transactions.
  • Reinforcing financial data confidentiality, conducting database backups when necessary, and complying with financial policies and regulations.
  • Computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with e-Tims, as well as reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Managing member accounts, including invoicing, receipting, and reconciling, as well as monitoring expenditure and ensuring all expenses are approved as per the budget set.
  • Processing payments to various vendors, ensuring withholding tax is deducted as per the law, and keeping updated member records.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related degree/diploma, with at least a CPA Part II qualification.
  • At least three years of working experience in a finance office, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably Zohobooks or Odoo, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or financial services is an added advantage.
