HCS Affiliates Group, a Nairobi‑based human resources and management consultancy, is looking for an Activation Lead to oversee its telecommunications activation network across the Eastern region of Kenya, primarily in Machakos and Makueni. This role sits within the sales and business development arena and reports directly to the Area Sales Manager.

What You'll Do
In this position you will be responsible for expanding and maintaining the activation footprint for mobile money and SIM services.
- Identify, recruit, and map new agents and small‑scale outlets, focusing on high‑traffic retail locations and mobile money points.
- Follow a structured beat plan to visit agents and small‑scale outlets regularly, ensuring consistent engagement and performance monitoring.
- Supply each outlet with the necessary transaction tools and conduct hands‑on training for agents and SSO staff on operational procedures.
- Deliver anti‑money‑laundering (AML) education and test agents, while guiding SSOs through Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) requirements linked to SIM registration.
- Oversee inventory levels, enforcing a minimum stock multiplier of 1.5× to guarantee sufficient SIM availability for new sign‑ups and activations.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by providing and installing promotional materials at agent locations.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will combine a customer‑centric mindset with strong sales execution skills.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of hands‑on experience in van sales, distribution, or a comparable sales role within the FMCG or telecommunications sector.
- Valid Kenyan driver’s licence and the ability to travel throughout the Eastern region.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build lasting partnerships with retail partners.
- Analytical thinking and a data‑driven approach to monitoring sales performance and stock levels.
