CareerLink Africa is looking for an energetic Direct Sales Agent to join HCS Affiliates Group in Lamu, Kenya. This position centers on promoting and selling telecommunications products such as airtime, devices, and data solutions. You will operate on‑site, collaborating with a shop team leader to meet ambitious sales targets while delivering a professional customer experience.

What You'll Do
In this role you will be responsible for a range of sales and operational activities that directly influence revenue and client satisfaction.
- Achieve monthly sales quotas for airtime top‑ups, device acquisitions, and related services by actively prospecting and closing deals.
- Track and reconcile Telkom inventory and consignment stock on a daily basis to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Handle the daily cash float, record all transactions, and submit precise sales reports at the end of each shift.
- Implement customer‑experience improvement initiatives designed to boost repeat purchases and overall sales performance.
- Provide technical assistance to customers, especially when configuring data‑enabled devices, to ensure a smooth and satisfactory service experience.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will blend formal education with hands‑on sales experience and a strong customer‑focus.
- Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one year of proven sales experience, preferably within the telecommunications or retail sector.
- Demonstrated marketing abilities, solid product knowledge, and a track record of successful upselling and cross‑selling.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Strong interpersonal capabilities, including networking, partnership building, influencing, and negotiation.
- Analytical thinking that supports data‑driven decision making.
- Strategic orientation, business acumen, and a results‑driven attitude that align with company goals.
