What You'll Do

The Group FP&A Lead will be the architect of the Group’s financial planning and analysis capability, a function that does not yet exist in its current form and must be built, owned, and driven by the person in this seat. The responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and leading the Group’s annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning process from inception, including designing the process, building budget templates, and planning models that work across multiple entities, currencies, and business lines within the Human Capital portfolio.
  • Consolidating submissions from Uganda and Emerging Markets Financial Controllers into a coherent Group view, and working with senior leadership to translate business strategy into financial targets and resource plans.
  • Designing and owning the Group rolling forecast cycle, building variance analysis frameworks, and developing leading indicators and early-warning metrics specific to the Human Capital / staffing sector in East Africa.
  • Tracking financial performance against budget and forecast across all business units, flagging risks and opportunities proactively, and translating financial performance data into clear, concise management commentary for the Group Head of Finance and Board reporting.
  • Designing and producing the Group’s monthly management accounts pack, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPI dashboards, and building standardized reporting templates that can be replicated and scaled as the finance function grows.
  • Partnering with country and functional leaders to support commercial decision-making, developing financial models for new business opportunities, market expansions, and strategic initiatives, and bringing a Human Capital sector lens to financial analysis.
  • Designing data collection and aggregation processes that bring structure and consistency to fragmented financial information, and partnering with IT and Operations to define data requirements as systems are embedded and upgraded.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a commercially sharp and operationally resilient finance professional with a BA/BSc/HND qualification and experience in Data, Business Analysis, and AI, Finance / Accounting / Audit, or ICT / Computer. The key requirements include:

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to design and lead the Group’s annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with imperfect, unstructured data from multiple systems and turn it into insight.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial results and insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to partner with country and functional leaders to support commercial decision-making, and develop financial models for new business opportunities, market expansions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the Human Capital sector, including staffing ratios, billable utilization, contractor margin dynamics, and workforce cost drivers.
