What You'll Do

As an Investment Intern you will work closely with the Procurement Officer and the investment team to ensure smooth procurement operations and robust investment analysis.

  • Assist the Procurement Officer in processing purchase orders, tracking supplier deliveries, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed on macro‑economic developments, market trends, and corporate actions of listed companies to provide timely insights.
  • Prepare short‑ and long‑term forecasts for key economic indicators such as GDP growth, inflation rates, and interest rates.
  • Conduct research and produce written reports that support investment decision‑making.
  • Evaluate the attractiveness of existing and potential equity, private‑equity, offshore, alternative‑asset, and fixed‑income investments for the scheme.
  • Maintain and update investment databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Help monitor portfolio performance and contribute to the preparation of periodic performance reports.
  • Support compliance efforts by aligning activities with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Refresh the research repository regularly to keep information current.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by senior team members.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines academic grounding with a keen interest in investments and a proactive attitude.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Enrollment in a professional investment programme such as CIFA or CFA is a distinct advantage.
  • Prior exposure to the investment or pension sector through an internship or industrial attachment.
  • Fundamental understanding of investment concepts, financial markets, and various asset classes.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Quick learning ability, adaptability, and the capacity to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
