What You'll Do
In this capacity you will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative tasks that support orthopedic patient care.
- Assess and treat fractures and dislocations by applying appropriate reduction techniques.
- Apply, adjust, and remove casts, bandages, and traction devices according to clinical protocols.
- Correct congenital talipes equinovarus (clubfoot) and provide counseling to patients and families about orthopedic trauma and rehabilitation.
- Clean, dress, and monitor simple wounds that arise from orthopedic injuries, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Document each orthopedic and trauma case accurately in patient records, including treatment outcomes and follow‑up recommendations.
- Identify musculoskeletal conditions that require referral and coordinate patients with specialist services within the county health system.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the County Health Department that contribute to the overall delivery of orthopedic services.
What We're Looking For

- A Diploma in Orthopedic Technology awarded by a recognized institution.
- Certification in basic computer applications to facilitate accurate record‑keeping.
- Valid practicing licence and registration with a relevant professional body.
