What You'll Do

In this senior physiotherapy role you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of clinical and administrative duties, including:

  • Delivering evidence‑based physiotherapy interventions—such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electro‑therapy, and hydro‑therapy—to patients admitted to the county hospital as well as those attending outpatient clinics.
  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine each patient’s rehabilitation needs and documenting individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health information standards.
  • Collecting and entering clinical data to support operational research initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.
  • Leading community outreach activities that raise awareness about physiotherapy benefits and preventive care, and compiling periodic reports on these efforts.
  • Collaborating with other health professionals within the County Health Department to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Performing any additional duties assigned by the County Health Department that align with the physiotherapy scope of practice.

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A recognised Diploma in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK) and a valid practising licence issued by the same body.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, demonstrated by a certificate from a recognised training provider.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and the broader community on physiotherapy matters.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary health team.
