What You'll Do

In this role you will be responsible for shaping the quality and effectiveness of UNFPA programmes across the region.

  • Assist in drafting, updating and rolling out organisational policies, procedural guidelines and AI‑enabled tools that underpin results‑based planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide analytical input and substantive advice for the creation of standards, tools and guidance documents that enhance programme quality and align with UNFPA’s strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate strategic dialogues and theory‑of‑change workshops, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define programme visions and design frameworks.
  • Coordinate and execute quality‑assurance activities, managing related analytical work, stakeholder liaison and correspondence.
  • Produce evidence‑based briefs, analytical reports and presentation decks that summarise trends, emerging approaches and performance insights for senior decision‑makers.
  • Develop and maintain user‑friendly communication products, such as the corporate country programme document repository and visual resources that explain quality‑programming concepts.
  • Liaise with other UNFPA offices to synchronise collaborative work streams on key programming challenges.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a passion for development outcomes.

  • A master’s degree or higher in fields such as international relations, development studies, data science, artificial intelligence, public policy or a related discipline.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in international development, public health or a comparable sector, with regional or country‑level exposure considered an advantage.
  • Proven expertise in data management, statistical analysis and quality‑assurance methodologies, including experience with AI‑driven solutions.
  • Ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with United Nations systems, a commitment to UN principles and a genuine interest in advancing development goals.
  • Strong organisational, strategic thinking and initiative‑taking skills, complemented by excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; working knowledge of another UN official language is a plus.
