What You'll Do
In this capacity you will be responsible for a range of imaging and patient‑care activities, including:
- Greeting patients, confirming their identity, and preparing them for diagnostic or therapeutic radiography procedures.
- Performing basic radiographic examinations while adhering to radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and the public.
- Recording, verifying, and securely storing patient information and imaging results.
- Providing clear explanations, emotional support, and counseling to patients and their guardians before, during, and after each examination.
- Conducting routine quality‑control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborating with the County Health Department on any additional duties related to radiographic services.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging Sciences, or an equivalent credential awarded by a recognized institution.
- A certificate in computer applications from an accredited training provider.
- Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body and a valid practising licence.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in a clinical environment.
